John Hughes was unique

8 08 2009

John Huges is not among us anymore unfortunately but he left some really awesome movies behind. My two personal favorites are Planes, Trains and Automobiles and of course Ferris Bueller’s Day Off. He wasn’t as great as the big names we hear all the time but he did what so many want to, he spoke to and grabbed ahold of a generation leaving a mark in a particular time with a set of great movies, whereas he was directing, writing or producing them. And that’s more unique than being great. His movies were classy in a decade where classy was not on the list. Thats right, the 80’s. His movies had the perfect combination of humor and heart. Here’s one classic scene from perhaps his most classic movie. Enjoy!
